We’re asking you to invest in the future of our children. And our country.

If recent history repeats itself, half of all U.S. children now in the first grade won’t graduate from high school. Only one in 10 children from poor, inner-city families will graduate.

According to the student testing organization ACT, only 25 percent of incoming college freshmen are college ready. That’s not just kids from poor families or inner-city neighborhoods. That’s all students from all kinds of neighborhoods and from families of all social and economic levels.

Chances are the students who aren’t college bound are even less proficient in the basic skills they went to school to learn and which they’ll need for the rest of their lives

We can do better than that. We must to better than that.

End the Education Plantation is a temporary nonprofit grassroots organization with one and only one goal: To give every parent in America the opportunity to send their children to schools offering a quality education.

Ultimately, we need to convince 279 people to make this change. That’s the President of the United States, 218 members of the U.S. House of Representatives (a majority) and 60 members of the U.S. Senate (the number it takes to pass a bill through the Senate).

We’ll use your donation to tell Congress and the President that it’s time to give every parent in America a chance to send their children to schools offering a quality education by ending the education plantation. We’ll use your donation to build support throughout America for ending the education plantation. And we’ll use your donation to keep telling this story until Congress and the President act.

Because we are advocating for a political cause, donations are not tax deductible.
